- Spring (Apr–May): stable weather, bright turquoise lakes
- Autumn (Sep–Oct): clearest views, cold mornings
- Winter (Dec–Feb): very cold, snow on passes
- Monsoon (Jun–Aug): cloudy, slippery trails, limited views
⛰️ Acclimatization & altitude safety
- Route is higher and more demanding than standard EBC.
- Add acclimatization days (Namche + Gokyo).
- Cross Cho La Pass only in stable weather.
- Descend immediately if altitude symptoms worsen.
If symptoms get worse at altitude, the safest choice is usually to descend.
