EBC lies inside Sagarmatha National Park. Everyone needs two permits; guide rule depends on trekker type.

🇳🇵 Nepali Trekkers

  • Sagarmatha National Park Permit: NPR 1,500
  • Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit: NPR 2,000
  • Guide: Not mandatory (recommended)

🤝 SAARC Trekkers (🇦🇫 🇧🇩 🇧🇹 🇮🇳 🇲🇻 🇵🇰 🇱🇰)

  • Sagarmatha National Park Permit: NPR 1,500
  • Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit: NPR 2,000
  • Guide: Mandatory

🌏 Foreign Trekkers (Non-SAARC)

  • Sagarmatha National Park Permit: NPR 3,000
  • Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit: NPR 2,000
  • Licensed Guide: Mandatory
