  • Spring (Mar–May): warm days, great visibility
  • Autumn (Sep–Nov): clear skies, cooler nights
  • Monsoon: possible (rain-shadow region) but flights can still be affected by weather
  • Winter: very cold and windy
⛰️ Acclimatization & altitude safety
  • Upper Mustang is dry but high—walk slowly and hydrate well
  • Acclimatize properly at Lo Manthang (Day 9 explore day)
  • Descend immediately if symptoms appear

Wind is strong in Mustang—start walking early and cover face/neck if needed.
